Medical Advisory Board
Share
All of our medical articles are written by experts and reviewed by a Medical Advisory Board composed of experts in women's and children's health and development. Our evidence-based health content is reviewed every three years to ensure that BabyCentre parents are getting the most up-to-date information and advice.
Our Medical Advisory Board includes doctors, midwives, breastfeeding specialists and dietitians.
Here are some of the experts who review, check and update our articles, and advise us on ways to develop BabyCentre:
Dr Hamed Al-Taher
Hamed is a senior consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, Norfolk. His specialities include fertility and urogynaecology.
Karen Bates
Karen is a midwife. She is a lecturer in midwifery at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Alison Bourne
Alison works as lead physiotherapist in women's health at The Royal Hospital, Chesterfield, and privately at a clinic in Sheffield.
