Dr. Marcia Ratner earned her bachelors degree in Psychology from Boston University where she was a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
Dr. Marcia Ratner earned her doctoral degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from the Boston University School of Medicine where she was trained in the Department of Neurology under the supervision of Drs. Robert G. Feldman MD (deceased) Professor and Chair, Department of Neurology and Raymon Durso MD, Director, Neuropharmacology Laboratory, VA Healthcare System. Her doctoral studies and dissertation work were focused on diagnosing neurotoxic effects in humans using clinical neurological, neurophysiological, neuroradiological, and neuropsychological measures of nervous system function. Her dissertation specifically looked at the interactions between neurotoxicants and age at onset of Parkinson's diseases in humans. Her publications reflects her training, experience and expertise in these areas.
